何朝何夕不同遊
留連燈下明猶飲

The tipsy friends, Liu and Po, are immersed in trifles;
On what day or night do we not revel together!
Time and again as dawn brightens
We are still drinking beneath the lamp,
Nothing but the wine-jug before us
Till at last we topple down to rest.
Never mind that age advances,
That even grandchildren, too, must age;
Though hair grows autumnal,
One should take his pleasure
Even through the onset of years.
Like Po-tao, who longed to live,
I have no sons nor grandsons;
I have only my white hairs.
